1.BIBLE SCHOOLS:-
God enabled PCI to run Bible institutes where the Word of
God, Fellowship with God, Missionary prayer life,
Evangelism, Reaching places for Christ are taught
systematically as these trainees are motivated village
evangelism. After training, graduates are sent out as
missionaries to the unreached people in rural areas.
At present PCI is running a Bible School in Kakinada,
Andhra Pradesh, South India. Here the training is given
for one year equipping the trainees for village evangelism
and pastoral work. Since the inception of this Bible
School, nearly 30 evangelists were trained and appointed
in remote villages. A dedicated staff runs it. Practical
training is imparted to the students by conducting camps
and outreach programs. The trainees are also encouraged to
educate the slum children during their free time. A church
is situated the premises where the trainees and staff
participate in the conduct of the worship service on
Sundays. |
 |
|
PCI also runs a Bible School exclusively for Hindi
speaking people in North India situated in the state of
Jharkhand. It's a short-term course lasting for 6 months
only. These students basically come from Hindu families
who accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. They
have zeal to serve the Lord among their own people. |

2.CHURCH PLANTING:-
Our vision is to plant churches where there is no church
or worship center. The efforts of our missionaries in
striving to establish His Kingdom in India have not gone
in vain. We could see many people accept Christ as their
personal savior. These new believers ought to be nourished
spiritually to grow in His grace. To establish them in
firm faith, PCI plants churches. Believers are disciplined
in these churches on strong foundations of the Apostles
Doctrine, Christian fellowship, Holy Communion and Fervent
prayers - Jesus Christ being the Chief Corner Stone. More
than 210 churches and assemblies are planted in the states
of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bihar and
Jharkhand.
Most of these village churches are being run under
thatched roofs subject to the extreme climatic conditions.
But we could see the people worshipping God with much joy
and vigor.

There is persecution to churches in some villages by the
communists and religious fanatics. Still the Church is
growing.

3.COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:-
Jesus cared for the poor and destitute people. He not only
cared for their spiritual needs but also their physical
needs. India is economically backward with more people
living below poverty line. PCI is involved in community
development programmes depending upon the need of the
village.
Recently, PCI with the help of its local pastors could
identify some of the AIDS (HIV+) patients at Adoni, a
small town in Andhra Pradesh. They have been given some
help from PCI to buy medicines and to get medical check-up
done. Along with these, gospel is being preached and
nearly 5 people accepted Jesus and the number is still
growing. |

4.CHILDREN MINISTRY:-
Conducting
V.B.S., summer camps, Primary Schools and
After-school coaching for slum children are being
undertaken by PCI.
We have been conducting V.B.S. in the local churches in
Hyderabad for the past 9 years. We found god doing great
things among the children in this part of the country.
Many children from surrounding areas attend every year. We
pray that god's word sown in their hearts would lead them
to the experience of salvation.
Conducting summer camps and retreats in PCI village
churches is helping the churches to grow. Many
non-Christian parents are knowing Jesus through the
testimony of their children who attend these camps. When
the doors are still open, we want to utilize every
opportunity for the expansion of our lord's kingdom.

5.HOPE CHILDREN HOMES:-
Jesus loved the children very much but unfortunately most
of the children in India are deprived of the privileges
and pleasures of childhood. On account of prevailing
poverty, children are sent out to earn rather than to
learn.
To express God's love towards the under privileged
children, PCI has opened a children home at Anantapur town
in Andhra Pradesh. The home is situated on the suburbs far
from the maddening noise of the town. The location is
conducive for the smooth functioning of the center, and
for creating a right atmosphere favorable for the overall
development of the child.
Admissions are given only to orphans, semi-orphans, very
poor, needy and children of the evangelists working in
remote areas and experiencing financial constraints. Due
to lack of separate facilities for boys and girls, the
center at present is restricting the admission of children
upto the age of 12 years.
|
 |
|
The main objectives of the Home are:-
1. To cater to the physical needs of the children and
creating a platform whereby a spiritual base could be
laid, and ultimately leading them to know the plan of
salvation for them.
2. To provide them basic education, to enable them to
become better denizens of the country.
3. To create conditions where they can be loved, accepted,
and instill in them a confidence that they too can
contribute to the society.
The Home is started in the year 1996, as a humble venture
and sheltered many a orphaned, semi-orphaned children to
find their bearings in the society, at the same time
strengthening our commitment for this noble cause. With a
committed staff catering to all the needs, these children
have really excelled on all fronts. Some of the children
have stood first in Memory verse, dance and singing
inter-school competitions. A couple of them can recite the
entire 119 Psalm. |

6.MEDICAL CENTER:-
The gospel is to share and to care. It is incomplete if it
does not cater to the needs of the people, particularly in
the area of health. Villagers are still devoid of adequate
medical facilities in India. They tread long distances of
treatment even for small ailments like cold and cough. In
order to meet the tremendous need of medical facilities
PCI has opened a medical center at Basarakodu village in
Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. This center is serving
people belonging to 30 nearby villages. Besides providing
medical help, we also share gospel of Christ crucified. As
a result of this ministry, many non- Christians have
accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. PCI
therefore could plant a church in the same premises. It
has been dedicated in February 2004 for God's glory.
Another landmark for this ministry is it has completed 12
years of its existence. It's a joy to see people who were
previously idol worshippers are now worshipping the living
Lord happily and many of them stood firm even in the wake
of persecution by their families and relatives. |

|
A committed, qualified doctor couple is taking care of
this ministry right from its inception.
The patients comprise of mostly with water-borne diseases,
skin infections, snake bites, burns, maternity needs etc.
The hospital is ideally located in a spacious 2-acre land,
12km away from the nearby town. It is surrounded by fields
and mountains. The people here are very poor mostly
agricultural laborers and illiterates. They are the most
exploited lot by the middlemen and landlords. They have to
walk or travel by bullock-carts for nearly 10 miles to
reach the nearest hospital. PCI medical center is a
welcome relief to all these people. |

7.TRIBAL
MINISTRY:-
God enabled PCI to adopt Banjara, Savara, Jathava, Koya,
Yanadi and Chenchu tribes. These tribes are unreached,
most neglected, economically backward, illiterates and
daily laborers.
They live in hills and interior places away from society.
God enabled our missionaries to work among these tribes.
We have nearly 30 missionaries working among these tribes
and about 30 worship centers are established for them.
One of the most notable tribal ministries is located in
Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. The whole tribal
belt in this district has come the knowledge of Christ.
There are nearly 24 PCI evangelists, all from the same
savara tribe working to spread the gospel. The villages
are situated in difficult terrains with mountains and
valleys criss-crossing. These places are not easily
accessible. One has to walk on foot climbing hills and
crossing brooks to reach these areas. It gives pleasure
lovely places with fragrance of Christ. |
 |
|
Before PCI advent into these areas, the people were living
a primitive life, barely clothed, eating mostly raw food
being subject to demonic forces, deep rooted in tribal
traditions and customs. Initially PCI met with stiff
resistance. But with the help of our Lord, we could make
inroads and preach the gospel. Simultaneously PCI catered
to their health needs through conducting medical camps and
starting a primary healthcare unit in that area.
A big transformation has come about in their way of life.
They are now well dressed which surprises a visitor for
the first time. Any person beholding their worship of the
living Lord, using their hand-made bamboo musical
instruments, will be wonderstruck in their newfound joy
and faith. The people are simple, loving and hardworking.
Looking back on this transformation, PCI could acknowledge
God's sovereign hand and work among these people. |
